I'm so happy I finally get to (re)post some content on here thanks to the new TLSQ.
Yes, Montaby's still going strong as ever! Hopefully, when I find time, I can catch up on making content again.

Hogwarts Mystery: Montague and Barnaby
An evolution of Montague and Barnaby’s relationship in-game in GIF form as formed by the more relationship-based time-limited side-quests.
For additional content and extraness, here’s some songs that I feel matched every single scene above:
The Celestial Ball:  “Magic” by Kylie Minogue
First Date Stargazing: “Door” by Caroline Polachek
Valentine’s at the Greenhouse: “Baby I’m Yours (Cover)” by Arctic Monkeys
Flight of the Festival Ambassadors: “Absolute Beginners" by David Bowie
The Valentine’s Day Ball: “Slow Dancing” by Aly & AJ
Enchanted Equinox: “I’ll Hold My Breath” by Ellie Goulding
Ticket to Love:  “The Promise” by When In Rome

The latest V-Day TLSQ is stupid and I played it just to complete it (though not a good strategy as it makes JC think people want MORE stuff like that) but something really annoyed me when playing.
At Knockturn Alley, MC and Mrs. Weasley are talking while waiting for Jae, and the subject of dates comes up:
Mrs. Weasley: And you? You've taken the risk of coming to Knockturn Alley... Is all this for someone who's caught your fancy? > Yes > No
I chose "No" and this exchange happens:
MC: No, there's no one who's caught my fancy. If I win the train ride, I'll probably just bring a good friend. Mrs. Weasley: That's marvelous! Friends are quite important, too, as I'm sure you know.
I was genuinely surprised by this! I actually got excited because we can do this quest platonically?!
I genuinely don't see any of the options as romantic matches to my MC, having been playing the quests for cosmetics, so this was the perfect compromise.
Then the game proceeds to ignore that and force the player to choose a romantic option and make MC have romantic moments with the one you choose!
(I chose Barnaby and was mortified when he said: "You're the one for me, and there are no adventures I'd rather be on."... especially when I have never chosen him before this. I know he canonically has feelings for MC but c'mon mate.
Oh, and everyone except Merula say MC is the one for them. This is so embarrassing.)
I get that when the conversation with Mrs. Weasley happens, not all romantic options were introduced (Jae, Chiara, Andre) but it's still ridiculous!
We then talk to Bill at the station and I really wish we have this talk with him than Mrs. Weasley so we could say "Yeah, I saw all the options and I'm not into any of them so I will just take a friend" and Bill accepts it and we are treated to MC and Friend being friends and goofing around on the train instead.
Anyway, sorry for the long rant, I just got really annoyed and needed to share my frustration with someone who equally doesn't like romantic TLSQs.
There’s no need to apologise. In fact, I’m rather happy that you decided to send your rant. I didn’t look into this quest almost at all, and I have no desire to complete it myself, so if not for your message, I probably wouldn’t even know about this scene. And I totally understand your frustration here.
Honestly, the fact that we can’t do dating quests platonically is one of my biggest problems with them. Yeah, I know that being romantic is kinda the point of dating quests… But here’s the thing: not everybody wants their MC to date – especially when not all characters are even available. And yes, I know, I don’t have to do those quests. I can just skip them – which is what I personally do, actually. It doesn’t change the fact that I’m missing rewards, cosmetics etc. Some people are just completionists, too. I also wouldn’t mind messing with Lockhart, for example, but I lose any interest when I realise that I’ll have to deal with dating for that.
And yes, I know that a platonic route would mean more work for Jam City, but… I’m pretty sure dating quests make the most money for them, so they could put a little more effort into that, ffs. And honestly, if they’d be smart about it, it wouldn’t even be that much more work. Like, sure, making two options for every character for the recent TLSQ (romantic and platonic one) would be quite a lot. But then, they can give us Tonks or Charlie for the set platonic option. Seriously, I’d take it.
Another problem with the dating quests is something you mentioned as well, and that’s the fact that everyone is suddenly thirsty for MC. I believe the only quests that didn’t do it were the “Celestial Ball” TLSQ and the “First Date” TLSQ. After that, everyone’s like: “I hope you’re gonna choose me, MC. If not, it’s fine, but know that I have feelings for you, so I will probably be heartbroken”. I’m sorry, but what the hell? It’s cringey, it’s uncomfortable, it’s unnecessary… It’s just... off-putting. I know dramas like that happen in real life, but I don’t need it in a mobile game in a quest which is supposed to be fun.
And you know what might be the most frustrating? That the “Celestial Ball” TLSQ and the “First Date” TLSQ showed that you can absolutely go around it. Yes, those quests also have subtle hints that various characters might fancy MC, but that’s the point: it’s subtle. So, I’d really like to know what dumbass at Jam City decided at one point that it’s a good idea to change it.
So yeah, I’m with you, Anon. I’m really disappointed by the dating aspect in HPHM. And it’s not that I criticise it just because I’m not interested in it personally. I honestly think it’s very poorly executed.

I agree that the fact everyone want MC is so frustrating. And I'm a little surprised that nobody complained about the stupid contest. Teenagers writing an essay for Valentine!!! SO EXCITING!!! Also, why isn't there any other participant? Why doesn't Talbott join? He composes poem himself? The other characters are so passive. Yes, they're happy to help MC, but they themselves are not interested in the contest. Why asking MC to consider them, while they can try to win the stupid ride?
Why should MC be the dream date for EVERYONE? MC still can ask her favorite person for the ride. She doesn't need to be certain that her favorite friend is into her to ask him/her? Just like celestial ball and date TLSQ that she asked Bill's help nervously.
And this quest happens in Y5, I don't know what to think when Penny is flirting cheerfully while her sister is trapped. We are in Y7, but still!
Though I have to say I enjoyed Mr and Mrs Weasley in this tlsq. It was cute they both lied that they're busy so they could get a Valentine gift for each other.
